1000 arabs for 1 jew

So it seems like the Israeli government has reached a deal with Hamas over the return of their one little captive soldier, Gilad Shalit.

The poor Ashkenazi fella, just 25 this year, was kidnapped 5 years ago by Hamas, in a cross border raid. Of course Hamas used it immediately to negotiate the release of palestinian prisoners held by Israel. Israel always refused.

I don't know what happened in Israel's internal politics that made Netanyahu accept a deal right now. Maybe the Israeli youth demonstrations have something to do with it, I don't know nor care. I don't also care about the huge media campaign that has been going on in Israel about the kid. I guess the parents of the kid had some money, and there is always lots of sympathy available for a poor kid kidnapped by those Hamas thugs.

What is important, in my opinion, is the deal reached. Israel will release 1000 prisoners in exchange for Gilad Shalit. One damn thousand!

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="226" caption="I'm worth more than 1000 arabs all together"][/caption]

Which begs the question: what is so awesome about this kid? Well that's a fallacy. To say it in economic terms, the utillity for the Israelian government of having back this adorable little nerd is bigger than the potential danger of releasing 1000 run-of-the-mill stand...

Secular Liberal Feminist Vegetarian Individualist Egyptian strips

Does anyone remember the Amina McMaster hoax? Where a white-bread dude made a blog pretending to be a Lesbian (and hot) Syrian girl oppressed by the Assad regime.

Well the dude got famous because there's a huge market for western style weirdos in Arab countries. The problem is its real had to find any. It really looks that muslims really are as boring and barbarous as they seem.

The big problem in Mr MacMaster's hoax was the he made his character into a lesbian. And lesbianism is a big no-no in most countries. Of course he needed to make it a lesbian in order to flirt with other women, but still. Its overdoing it.

Well look no further! We have a new one.

Aliaa Elmahdy. Here's her Twitter. Here's her Facebook. Here's her blog.

And here's her pussy. NSFW of course. Still please take a look.

Her twitter claims she is a "Secular Liberal Feminist Vegetarian Individualist Egyptian". Through Facebook we know she is a 20 year old student at the American University of Cairo. Her facebook's picture are public (!) and she has like a ton of...

The plight of the Arab Beta

Its not often that you see news that both make you laugh out loud, and make you think about deep cultural anthropology issues. This is one of them: Saudi Arabian court dictates that police may force a women to hide her eyes if they are deemed to be too sexy. (H/T Bivouac-Id). Well the news is quite absurd, they already wear the burka down there, if they have to hide their eyes, how can they even walk down the street? There's the option of staying in the kitchen, if you ask me. Anyway, rather than doing the all too usual thing of deploring Arab barbarism, I will cut them some slack, and try to analyze how that shit gets to happen at all.

Let me put on front that the Middle East is not my area of expertise, I have had business relations with arabs and they are the most despicable of peoples. Still I think cultures should be understood in their own terms if we want to understand them though. Whatever I say below is in no means an attempt to justify their behaviour, and I'm the first advocate for Nuking Mecca.

To the point, my understanding of the Sexy eyes-gate is: there's a huge population of sex-starved betas in Saudi Arabia. Low class ar...

Paganism has been included in an official school religious education syllabus for the first time. Cornwall Council has told its schools that pagan beliefs, which include witchcraft, druidism and the worship of ancient gods such as Thor, should be taught alongside Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

Paganism is cool. I confess I have lots of fun reading about Norse mythology, the lost Slavic pantheon, or some strange Uralic tribes who still keep their ancient faith. The actual documentaries done about their religious practices are in reality quite lame though. Just a bunch of peasants putting on some wooden idols in the forest and cooking a horrid looking stew. But I wouldn't want these people Christianized.

Well it seems that some Cornish officials are set on reviving paganism in their land. I understand their motives, but I'm afraid that Brits don't know what they're doing. Playing with religion must sound fun for atheists, but there's a ton of reasons not to do it. Especially when you have millions of foreigners in your country who take their religion very seriously.

Islam has made London a more conservative place than it was 50 years ago

The fragility of logic

There's a funny paradox in all us reactionary bloggers. On one hand we believe that politics should be abolished. That a firm, inviolable power structure would make life safer, the economy wealthier, the people happier overall. With caveats of course, but surely the modern glorification of constant struggle, the micro civil war that democracy forces upon all of us is a bad thing.

Yet we are obsessed with politics. Writing a blog, commenting everywhere, fighting the liberal hordes wherever we find them. Some more than others, but we are way more involved than the average person. I don't know about others, but I was always like that. I started to argue at primary school, my teachers hated me. Then came the internet, BBSs, Usenet, IRC, you name it, I've been there fighting for my ideals. I used to gang up with friends and crack leftist's email accounts, then send erotic stories fetched from the web to all the female names in the address book. Damn, it was fun.

As a kid I first was a fairly typical rightist partisan, by late adolescence become a libertarian, then quickly grew up and realised none of it made much sense. Not that I met any intelligent debater who convinced me of the folly of any of it. In fact at the same time that I grew out of libertarianism, came an increasing feeling of tedium over political arguments. First I quickly got bored of debating with dimwits who did little else but parrot partisan lines. But arguing with smart people wasn't much bet...

Fifty shades of brown

There have been many theories about what the Arab Spring is all about. Of course the MSM say it's about "youth committed to democracy" or some nonsense of the like. I don't remember who was it who said it was the first of many food riots to come to the Middle East, whose non oil producers today can barely feed their huge populations.

That makes more sense, but I have another, perhaps complementary explanation. The Arab Spring, and its primary manifestation, i.e. huge demonstrations of idle youth in urban squares, is a means to get laid with white ladies. Don't believe me?

Read this: British journalist raped at Tahrir Square. Again! I thought after Lara Logan got assaulted, and actually got it to be reported, white women would've got the message. It's incredible how Lara Logan or Charlize Theron, Afrikaners who know first hand what is to be a powerless white in a non white country, would still be so deluded as to keep hanging out with their enemies. But I guess it's never enough until you get murdered.

To the point, every time that people gang up at Tahrir Square for whatever reason, several young white women go there to report, and get raped. So why not go? Of course if you stay at the square too long the army would come cracking down, so you have to get the timing right. Every 6 months or so is eno...

The Dunning-Krueger Spring

While I am what you could call the bookish type, I am not an academic. I lived among academics for some time but I never felt at ease in that culture. That tendency they have to make easy things sound so difficult. The funniest academic concept is the Dunning-Krueger effect. At first I thought it was some awesome intellectual breakthrough, like the Doppler effect or the Westermarck effect.  It must be double awesome because it took two academics to discover it! But of course the Dunning-Krueger effect is simply the academic way of saying the intemporal truism that stupid people are so stupid they don't realise how stupid they are.

The DKE is bad as it is with individuals, and the illusion of equality democracy brought has made it much worse. Even the dumbest prole might understand after 40 years of failing that some people are smarter than he is, capable of doing things he is not. But our government propaganda is day and night telling him how everyone is equal and has the same rights. Well if we are equal when why do I suck while others don't? Confusion ensues.

Now imagine that at the nation level. I was having dinner a while ago with a friend who goes often for business in the Middle East, knows the place well. I asked him about the political situation, with the Arab Spring and all that. He told me about Egypt. 'Oh, it's a mess' he said. Business routinely stopped by new authorities shutting down anyone who dealt with the old regime, their owners arrested a...

On Anglo Sexual Mores

So it's summer time, and people are starting to show some skin. It's real hot actually, and I spent the last weekend in a seaside town. And people there were showing a lot of skin. Tank top, tight shorts, you know. Lately it is common for people to complain about the old and ugly women who also wear revealing clothing, which makes most men want to puke. It is really disturbing. But I wanna complain too about the hot young girls in short and tight clothes.

Yeah they are hot as hell and they make me wanna fuck them all. But that's wrong, fellas. That's not a good thing. You shouldn't feel like watching porn just walking by the street. And it's not only in seaside towns; it's everywhere. On my way to work, going for groceries with my woman. I guess I am easily distracted, or perhaps more horny than average. But I can't control that and women can control whether they cover up their tits and legs. But why would they cover up when they can go semi naked around the street? It's empowering! If it's empowering for a woman to use her natural weapons against men's weakness, then if a man uses his natural weapons (fists) against women's weakness (her face), then beating the hell of some woman is also empowering, non? That must be why hot chicks dig violent assholes. They both dig empowering.

The thought crossed my mind that perhaps muslims have it right after all. Their women don't go outside uncovered. Some are hot, some are not, something that men are very good at tel...

BBC reading Moldbug

I didn't set out to make a series on BBC snippets, but I feel that I must. I shouldn't even be watching BBC documentaries. But somehow tricked by my love of their nature documentaries (which are just amazing) and some residual memory of their great series on Civilisation, I downloaded in bulk a series of recent BBC shows that looked interesting. But of course the BBC being what it is, basically the representatives of evil on earth, these recent documentaries I've been seeing are so jarringly and boorishly leftist, so in-your-face on their promotion of evil that I feel I must take something good from them. I'm that sort of man that hates wasting time on anything, I must always be able to rationalize any activity as having made learn something, or been the groundwork of some future productivity. I can't say I learned much of this BBC show so I might as well make a blog post on it.

So the BBC makes this 3 part documentary on the Ottoman Empire. And it's presented by this man who looks a lot like an old Egyptian waiter I knew from years ago. Why would they use an Egyptian to make a special on the Ottoman Empire? Beats me. Beats me more still when I check out the guy's name and learn that he isn't Egyptian, but Somali. He's not a dark Egyptian then, but a light Somali. And a connected one by that. Name's Rageh Omaar, public school and Oxford educated. Younger...

We need a new religion, 3

Isegoria has been running a series of posts quoting John Glubb's The Fate of Empires. It's a great book, short and to the point. Not exactly erudite and full of data, but the patterns he points out are very interesting, even though his analysis is not quite consistent.

I also found interesting his chapter on religion, which agrees on some old idea of mine:

In due course, selfishness permeated the community, the coherence of which was weakened until disintegration was threatened. Then, as we have seen, came the period of pessimism with the accompanying spirit of frivolity and sensual indulgence, by- products of despair. It was inevitable at such times that men should look back yearningly to the days of ‘religion’, when the spirit of self-sacrifice was still strong enough to make men ready to give and to serve, rather than to snatch.

But while despair might permeate the greater part of the nation, others achieved a new realisation of the fact that only readiness for self-sacrifice could enable a community to survive. Some of the greatest saints in history lived in times of national decadence, raising the banner of duty and service against the flood of depravity and despair.

Let the Syrians in

So there's a million or so migrants, apparently many of them from Syria, who are trying to push their way into Germany. Germany is apparently willing to accept them, but they're trying to send a bunch of them to other EU countries too. The Daily Mail is doing a masterful coverage, both inciting outrage at how the onslaught will drown us all, and inciting compassion by showing little children being drowned and starved by those meany Europeans who won't pay them a plane ticket to Munich. One has to respect a news site being so unabashedly shameless.

I'm from Europe, but living abroad at the moment, so my comment might seem a bit irresponsible. But I say let them in. Yes I know, a million Muslim immigrants won't do any good. Yes, they'll suck out welfare money like leeches. Yes they'll rape and steal, and they might kill whoever dislikes Islam and says so in public.

But still, we'd rather let them in sooner rather than later. Because eventually, this is going to happen.

And I'm actually happy that the Refugee Crisis is happening now, rather than in 20 years or so, when 2 billion Africans are looking for a way into Europe, and Europe is deep in demographic decline and economic recession. And we know blacks are holier than Muslims, so they'd be much more likely to get in without opposition.

So let...

Paris

I have nothing interesting to say about the Paris attacks. Given that they understandably took attention out from my last post, as a blogger my duty is to try to explain the Paris attacks and their likely consequences in terms of Status Point theory. Yes I'm starting to sound like a broken radio, but at least I'm not just rambling about it's all the fault of the Jews. So listen up.

France will do nothing about these attacks. Nothing will change. The Front National won't win the elections. Immigration won't be stopped, nor French Muslims will be incentivized to leave. 120 murdered is a lot of people; but people only care as much as the media reports about it, and the media only reports about it as much as the Cathedral wants to. The Cathedral doesn't want to report about it, so in 2 weeks people will have forgotten the same they did about Charlie Hebdo. They will remember their Facebook filters and Twitter tags much more clearly than the 120 murdered. They didn't actually know any of the killed, but they of course have clear memories of how good it felt to signal virtue on social media.

If anything can happen is that the US uses the chance to bomb some more of Assad, and France joins up to signal toughness against terrorism or something; then some neocon arranges for a Russian convoy to get bombed, and Putin responds in kind. That'd be... interesting.

Why will nothing happen? Why will France not bother to defend its own people? In the capital, under the...

The Easy Way Out

A modest proposal. Don't take it too seriously.

Western elites are hell-bent in allowing unrestricted immigration into Europe and America. Even if they're all ISIS operatives. Muslims are not deemed to be a threat to the progressive establishment the same way that white-nationalism is, and they're mostly right about that.

Given present demographic trends, at this rate large swathes of the West will be Muslim in 20 years time; and again the progressive establishment will do nothing about that; because doing something about that would strengthen the hand of white-nationalists, and that directly threatens the power of the progressive establishment. So odds are for a Brazil - Mexico style situation, where a white-ish progressive elite rules over a mixed demographic of various shades of brown. Living standards plummet on average, but the elites still do great, and a white middle class which keeps the lights on still manages to make a tolerable living. But note that progressivism is still the state religion, and that means a large proportion of white people will still buy the whole package, i.e. hedonism, low fertility, feminism, the whole thing. That means dysgenic fertility goes on forever; the end of that road is South Africa.

The only way out is for whites to stop being progressive. And that means whites to stop being white. This means whites must stop being distinctly white, i.e. they must join non-whites at something so that the state can't just point ...

One of the weirdest things in history was Byzantine iconoclasm in the 8th and 9th centuries. The Byzantine imperial house decreed that all pictures and portraits in Orthodox churches were to be destroyed. Not that I'm a fan of the art style of Eastern icons (I find it kinda gloomy and too flat), but that was a waste of perfectly fine artwork. The usual explanation is that the Emperor thought that Islam was strong due to its ascetic religion, and that Byzantines were losing the war because the wasted too much time and effort into drawing lame portraits. Whatever the reason, the Byzantines had adopted an important trait of Islamic culture without surrendering. "Aerial influence", as linguists call it, made the trick.

Another example is the Taoist and Shinto religions. People talk of Taoism in China and Shinto in Japan as if they were ancient religions, with temples, and priests, and the whole package. But that's bunk. When Buddhism came into East Asia, it brought temples, monks, books, influence peddling with rich and powerful, a very strong institutional package. Taoists and Shintoists just copied the whole thing, including the architecture of the temples, and much of its vocabulary. It's like if some neopagans built Gothic Churches, and run weekly rituals where people were fed bread by a professional priest, after giving a homily on...

Brussels

Dozens of killed in multiple terrorist bombings in Brussels. Under the very nose of the EU headquarters.

The common response of European politicians has been that they are "united", in "solidarity" with Belgium, and "defending the values of democracy and freedom".

Think about it. What does "united" mean here? Who is united, and for what purpose? What about this solidarity? And what does democracy and freedom have to do with Muslim terrorism?

Was there a danger of European nations not being united and in solidarity with each other? How would it look like if they weren't? Could, Italy, say, or Poland, claim solidarity with the terrorists and say Belgium deserve it? That they're happy Brussels got bombed? That's absurd. It's just not in the realm of possibility. European nations of course dislike Muslim terrorism and everybody feels sympathy with Belgians.

The only way that those statements by European politicians is to understand them in political partisan terms. European politicians aren't speaking for their countries. They are speaking for themselves, and their parties. "United" means that they, as politicians, stay united with their friends in Brussels, their fellow politicians and bureaucrats. They stand united with their friends against their enemies, the far-right. "Solidarity" means they feel bad about their fellow Belgian politicians, and will keep on fighting the far-right so that the far-right can't take advantage of their reasonable prop...

Divide et Impera

Half Sigma posted this video, and it made me think.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Mehk5eWcZA

Yes, damn Muslims. Damn them all. They're out to get us. Yes, they are indeed. But think about it for a second.

Obviously the Cathedral would want Muslims to convert to progressivism. Either outright, by becoming good atheist communists as good white people. Or either by watering down their religion, becoming the brown equivalent of white cuckservatives, who many are still Catholic or Protestant, but still accept every tenet of the Progressive faith with a lag of 2 or 3 years. You can be a Muslim as long as you accept gaymarriage, as a progressive activist boasted years ago at Larry Auster's blog.

But look at those Muslim men in the video. Do they want to be progressive? Do they want to become good feminist men? Hell no. They aren't buying that. But why not? Being good Muslims in their banlieus isn't doing them any good. Our good progressive bureaucrat overlords apparently really don't get why these Muslims are so obstinate.

Surely part of it is that they're tribal, hostile, aggressive men, who like to fuck with Europeans and show their hostility because it's fun to fuck with foreigners. That's what men have done since time immemorial.

Surely part of is that they're Muslims, and Islam has its jihadi tradition. It is a noble thing to fight for Islam and kill infidels...

Toxic Arab Masculinity

I was mildly surprised to see that I was getting hits from the Inthenews subreddit. Apparently a very nice reader posted a link to my recent post on how Islam in the West creates perverse incentives for the Establishment to double down on feminism and other progressive articles of faith, knowing that the native white population will back them as a convenient Schelling point against the tribal enemy, Islam. He says my post predicted exactly the sort of psycho who killed 84 people in Nice in July 15th, and I must say that I did.

Let's take a look at the murderer, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel. Apparently he drunk alcohol like a sponge, smoked pot, went to nightclubs, ate pork, and didn't give a shit about Ramadan. He was a classic low IQ hoodlum who was more than happy to enjoy the hedonism that French culture offers to all men. His close acquaintances called him a "piece of shit". And yeah, that's a piece of shit if I ever saw one. And I've seen a lot.

As tends to happen with low IQ hoodlums he did have some luck with the ladies, and was married. With three daughters. I expect having three daughters, no sons, didn't exactly please him. Having a wife also can't have been very fun, given his penchant for booze and nightclubs. So again, as tends to happen with low IQ hoodlums, he often beat his wife. He also couldn't hold a job, so his wife recently divorced him.

So now...

The Loudspeaker

Well it's been a while since I wrote a post. I apologize, but I have been busy, and everybody's attention is on the American election, Trump or not Trump. That is the question. Quite predictably the Cathedral has focused all its resources in fighting Trump with every tactic on the books, and then some. Twitter is banning thousands of people, every single newspaper in the US has openly abandoned any pretence of unbiased reporting. Some people on the left have hinted that democracy may not be such a good idea, given that someone like Trump could possibly win.

I like the train of thought; but they've managed to probably knock Trump out of the race. How? With a tape where he spoke like 80% of men do in a normal country. Where he talked about pussy and how much he likes it. That is the true fault line of Western politics. Feminism is the strongest Schelling Point of the progressive system, the indestructible idea that will bury us all. Again Houellebecq is provided right all along.

Anyway, let me do what I do best and introduce a funny story I saw in a Chinese website. It's unrelated only if you want it to.

I was born and raised in a small village in Henan, in central China. In some of the neighboring villages there are some Muslims (the Hui people, Chinese-speaking Muslims), and since I was a kid the adults in the village always told us kids the we should never go to Muslim villages, as the Muslims liked to beat up Han-Chinese kids. I was a sma...

The Strong Do What They Can

This pic has been doing the rounds in the Chinese Internet. It's a parking sign in a mosque in Gansu province, Western China. There's a lot of muslims there, about a million, 3% or so of the province population. There used to be quite a lot more, until they rebelled in the 1860s. Then Zuo Zongtang and his army came and massacred every muslim he could find.

55f6f027ly1fbsjsbii0jj20qo0zk13e

Those days are long gone, though, and muslims are quite assertive in China today. Back to the sign. It's just a run-of-the-mill sign, telling people who go to park inside the mosque what they have to do. Drive slowly, follow directions from the staff, pay the ticket, watch your valuables, you know. Now take a look at rule 3. in the second section. It says:

凡装有易燃易爆,剧毒污染性物品的车辆,特别是凡有女人的车辆不得驶入寺内,否则后果自负

"All cars who are carrying flammable, explosive or toxic products, especially all cars which are carrying women, cannot drive into the mosque. Else they will face the consequences."

Doesn't say which consequences. But it can't be very good. I kinda like the "especially". Like bombs and poison is bad, man. But be especially careful about bringing women! That's even worse! That's just trolling. And...

Penis Envy

I've meant for a long while to write a post about iconoclasm. The Byzantine Empire had been suffering defeats to Muslims for centuries. They lost 2/3rds of the Empire, and almost lost the whole of it too. It's no wonder that some emperors thought that maybe Muslims were doing something right. They certainly seemed to have God's favor.

The conclusion they reached was that God liked the Muslims because they did not have human figures in their mosques. Byzantine churches being full of icons, paintings, mosaics of Jesus and the myriad saints. Most of them pretty lame, too. Byzantine icons tend to be plain, dull, and often just badly drawn. It probably was the work of an endogamic caste of icon-painters who promoted each other for personal reasons unrelated to skill at painting, and flayed at any criticism by laypeople. How dare you criticize our holy art? You are just ignorant of God's taste in painting. Kinda like the argument that progressive academics use when called out on their nonsensical "research".

Anyway, Iconoclasm was attempted. The Byzantine state burned every human figure from their churches, which became as bare as mosques. It didn't do much to help out in the war against the Muslims. What it did was provoke a century-long civil war. The icon-painter guild was *very* stubborn. And the Byzantine state was a mess who couldn't impose it's authority. So the change did more harm than good. Rhomania kept declining and rising again and then declining for ...

Dunbar Feminism

I think I should stop selling "behaviorism". By which I mean, I should stop calling what I sell "behaviorism". I shall call it "immediatism".

Basic points are: all politics are local. All cognition is local. Nothing is abstract. People behave so as to immediate conditions. Here's an example. Sweden.

http://www.government.se/government-policy/a-feminist-government/

Let me quote:

Sweden has the first feminist government in the world. This means that gender equality is central to the Government’s priorities – in decision-making and resource allocation. A feminist government ensures that a gender equality perspective is brought into policy-making on a broad front, both nationally and internationally. Women and men must have the same power to shape society and their own lives. This is a human right and a matter of democracy and justice. Gender equality is also part of the solution to society’s challenges and a matter of course in a modern welfare state – for justice and economic development. The Government’s most important tool for implementing feminist policy is gender mainstreaming, of which gender-responsive budgeting is an important component.

Feminism gender gender feminism power gender feminism. And first. You get the gist. They also had this sort of battle picture:

How to Figure out Gnon's Will

A basic idea of this blog is that people don't choose ideas according to the merits or the logical value of those ideas. People have different personalities, different status-seeking dispositions, so to speak. Some people desire a lot, some people are content with less, some people are willing to go further in order to attain it, others don't. Given that basic foundation of personality, people then choose the ideas that think can better aid their status-seeking plans. Ideas spread or don't spread according to how well they fit the wider aggregate status-seeking dispositions of the population. Which of course is affected by the current idea landscape of the culture.

This is why rabid leftists become rabid rightists, or viceversa, while seldom becoming apolitical. They're just into politics, period, so they get behind whatever is fashionable or suits their background better. Understand this point and you'll understand much better how the ideological landscape in the West is going to change in the next few decades. For instance, take a look at this:

A tale of two white British brothers who took VERY different paths: One supports right-wing EDL - while the other has converted to Islam

How can they be so different? Well it's quite obvious. The guys just aren't into mainstream crap. They're edgy, as brothers they share those edgy genes, they j...

How Menopausal Feminism leads to Islam

I'm reading this book by a Japanese historian on how Neoconfucianism in the East unwittingly prepared the ground for the adoption in East Asia of Western progressivism as its logical conclusion. Really cool stuff. I'll have a review shortly.

But before that, let me anticipate you this kind of evolutionary argument with something more relevant to our day.

I've been writing a lot about how Islam has a big chance of taking over the West. Not because Muslims are strong or anything. They're a bunch of lazy low IQ pansies for the most part. But they have their shit together, and for various reasons they are immune (on average, of course) to adopting progressive ideology. One reason which I've written about a lot is that Muslim culture gives very high status to men. It's a patriarchy. And Muslim men very much enjoy that. So when they move to the West, where feminism gives pretty low status to men as men, well Muslim men see very clearly that assimilating to Western culture will lower their status.

And they'd very much not lower their status. So Muslim men cling steadfastly to their traditional culture, as dumb and dysfunctional as it is, with its clannishness and laziness and inshallah fucked up work ethic. None of that matters compared to the dire threat of losing status. You'll notice that the odd Muslim man which lands a high-status job, say Fareed Zakaria or Mohamed Hadid are quite happy with abandoning Islam for progressive. Feminism is pretty good for t...

born and raised in England, who probably grew up obsessed by all those scantily-clad white girls all around him who wouldn't give him the time of day. One day he suddenly "radicalized", became a hard-core Salafist, made some Salafist buddies who took them to the Middle East to train as a ghazi. He found his call.

Now why would that be? What is it he disliked or resented about hundreds upon hundreds of teenage girls in short skirts?

What's the deal with the Rohingyas

Myanmar opened up to the West, agreed to "democratize", and release Aung San Suu Kyi, in 2011. I blogged about it back then. The rationale between the military junta dissolving itself was that China was eating up the whole economy. 100,000 Chinese have basically colonized downtown Mandalay, so the idea was to play USG against China. Which is a pretty good idea. Kim Jong Un is playing the very same game right now. Duterte in the Philippines kinda is too. This will be basically geopolitics 101 in Asia from now on.

Westerners of course didn't see it like that. They thought this was a great victory for Human Rights and Progress. Soros set up shop, and every American businessmen with spare change was in Yangon the very next weekend. Myanmar, The Last Frontier they called it. Plutocrats starved for yield were watering their mouths watching a new virgin country with actual possibilities of growth, i.e. with a native population with an 80+ IQ.

So what happened? Not much happened. And not much is happening right now. The generals didn't really go away. And the democratic government isn't quite sold on the idea of selling ...
